ABOUT PFF

Pakistan Fencing Federation (PFF ) is affiliated with International Fencing Federation (FIE ), Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA), Commonwealth Fencing Federation and Pakistan Olympic Association (NOC-Pakistan) as the National Governing body of Fencing in Pakistan.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Federation shall be:

1) To encourage, promote, assist and control the development of FENCING in Pakistan without any kind of discrimination on grounds of race, religion, politics, and sex or otherwise

2) In pursuance of which the Federation is committed to compliance with the Olympic Charter and the Rules, Statutes and other rules of the International Fencing Federation (FIE). In the event of any conflict, the Olympic Charter and the Rules and Statutes of the FIE shall take precedence.

3) To organize contests and championships in FENCING and authorize the holding of these contests as often as possible, the National Championship being held every year.

4) To cause the formation of regional organizations of FENCING and affiliate them.

5) To arrange, assist, finance, if required and encourage, systemic training of Fencers through coaching centers in Pakistan or training programs in other countries.

6) To arrange and finance Pakistan representative teams for participation in international championships and other contests of international nature.

7)To adopt and implement the World Anti-Doping Code, the FIE Anti-Doping Rules, thereby ensuring that the anti-doping policies and rules, membership and / or funding requirements and results management procedures conform with the World Anti-Doping Code and respect all the roles and responsibilities for NOC’s that are listed within the World Anti-Doping Code.

8) To certify the status of Pakistani Fencers in accordance with the rules of FIE.

9) To raise funds for carrying out the aforesaid objectives of the Federation.

10) To do all such things that may be ancillary to the attainment of the above aims and objects.

11) To instill in the youth the virtues of discipline, courage, self-reliance, honesty and tolerance, and of sportsmanship, respect, politeness and observance of the rules.

12) To obtain and retain membership in the FIE in accordance with the statutes of FIE

13)To pursue for attaining affiliation with National Olympic Committee and recognition from the Government of Pakistan by obtaining affiliation with Pakistan Sports Board
