Muhammad Zaheer Mushtaq

Biography

Muhammad Zaheer Mushtaq multiple National and International medalist hailed from Fortabbas(Punjab), he is the flag-bearer for fencing in Pakistan. He is an exceptional athlete, his dominance started at a young age. In high school, he excelled on the cricket team and athletic teams. At Imperial College Business Studies, he started as a freshman and won a bronze medal in the HEC rugby event, and set multiple field records. He was invited to join National Fencing Academy when his talent attracted the attention of a Pakistan Fencing coach who watched him during a Rugby training session. He chooses to pursue a career in fencing (where he excelled) and is widely considered the best epee Fencer player ever. Having already made rapid strides, Zaheer will be looking to make an even bigger impact on the global stage and establish Pakistan as a competitor in fencing.

Achievements

• 2nd the national championship he won the epee team event Gold medalist and epee Individual Bronze medals
• 3rd National he grabs Sabre Gold Epee team event Gold and silver individual
• 4th national he succeeds to win Epee Individual and team Gold
• 2nd inter-provincial in Epee Team event Gold, Individual silver.
• 2nd inter-provincial Sabre Individual Gold.
• In 2019, prior to winning the historic south Asian games medal, He achieved the feat of becoming the 1st Pakistani fencing team to win the medal in an international fencing event
• He participated in the Asian game 2018
